Sunday, June 16, 2024, will remain etched in the memories of many students and their families. Montreal’s Greaves Adventist Academy held its graduation ceremony, marking the culmination of several years of hard work for 29 enthusiastic students.
The ceremony took place in the splendid Westmount Adventist Church, beautifully decorated for the occasion.
Inspiring Speeches
Before receiving their diplomas, Pastor Patrick Dupuis encouraged the young graduates to trust God throughout their journey. Keisha Williams Cummings, the current principal, acknowledged the students’ courage and resilience, urging them to pursue their dreams with determination and a firm faith in God.
Claude Trépanier, Superintendent of Greaves Academy, expressed his appreciation for the hard work of all those who have mentored these students, emphasizing their vital role in guiding the young people to success. He also thanked God for this year’s success, despite the challenges encountered along the way.

Under the admiring and attentive eyes of 150 parents and close friends, each graduate was called to the stage individually to receive their diploma from principal Cummings.
The graduates’ smiles lit up the room, reflecting their pride and gratitude to God for this milestone in their lives.

The ceremony ended on a moving note. Principal Cummings will be taking on new challenges at SDACC on August 1, 2024, marking the end of her tenure at Greaves Academy. Ngoy Kyala, President of the Seventh-day Adventist Church – Quebec Conference, highlighted her outstanding career over the past 10 years as a teacher and then principal. Through her tireless work, Mrs. Cummings has brought Greaves Academy to new heights.
