To integrate a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account on a BlackBerry 10 smartphone, complete the following steps:

  1. On the home screen, swipe down from the top bezel and select Settings.
  2. Select Accounts > Add Account > Email, Calendar and Contacts
  3. Enter the email address in the Email Address field and click Next.
  4. Enter the account password on next screen and click Next.

The BlackBerry smartphone autodiscover client will attempt to use the autodiscover service of the Microsoft Exchange Server to get all of the the requisite server and synchronization settings.

If the autodiscover service is not accessible (Microsoft Exchange 2003 does not have autodiscover) or autodiscover response is not understood by smartphone, use the advanced setup as described to complete the setup:

  1. On the home screen, swipe down from the top bezel and select Settings.
  2. Select Accounts > Add Account > Advanced > Microsoft Exchange Active Sync
  3. Enter the username used to log into Outlook Web Access in the Username field.
  4. Enter the email address in the Email Address field.
  5. Enter the password used to log into Outlook Web Access in the Password field.
  6. Enter the URL used to log into Outlook Web Access in the Server Address field.
  7. Enter the appropriate port number in the Port field.

Note:

  • Default OWA server addresses are in the format of https://webmail.example.com/owa or https://server.example.com/exchange.
  • For the Server Address field use the format of webmail.example.com excluding the http(s):// and /owa or /exchange.
  • The default ports for OWA are 80 and 443.

If these settings do not work, contact the email administrator for the correct account information.
